"TEACHER AS A VICTIM?": A STUDY ON BULLYING EXPERIENCED BY TEACHERS

The present study focused on the teacher as a victim of bullying. Considering the topic of interest, the research aimed to investigate the bullying experienced by teachers due to aspects that permeate the use of technology in the classroom. To achieve this goal, a quantitative survey was carried out with 52 teachers from the state school system who answered an adapted version of the California Bullying Victimization Scale and informed a set of sociodemographic data. In general, the rates of bullying against teachers were low. Despite this, a positive correlation was identified between the different types of bullying, showing that the teacher who is the victim of a certain behavior related to bullying is probably at risk when analyzing other related behaviors. Although low rates of bullying against teachers were found, the phenomenon exists. In this sense, new studies are needed focusing on different perspectives of the phenomenon and trying to propose interventions on it
